I designed this zoology course unit plan using L. Dee Fink’s text on creating courses for significant learning. This course was team-based, so students were grouped into permanent teams for the semester. In the plan below, “team” designates activities or assignments that were completed in teams. “Class” activities involved all students at once. Each unit was 1 week long, with two 2-hour class sessions and one 3-hour laboratory.
