This content is based on a post originally published on February 27, 2012 on my blog “Pollinators Info” (no longer online).

Pollination biology offers many opportunities for the college biology classroom. From evolution and genetics to population ecology and behavior, you can integrate pollinators into just about everything! Why would you want to? Because, pollinators are fun! There are many different kinds, and they make some of our favorite foods possible!

If you’re a college biology instructor, you might like to check out the Pollination Biology module put together by the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory. This free module uses the topic of pollination biology to teach students how to read primary literature, evaluate data, and design experiments.
